Eve LaPlante's new book is
a biography of an ancestor, SALEM WITCH JUDGE: The Life and Repentance of Samuel Sewall (HarperOne). She's also the author of AMERICAN JEZEBEL (2004, 2005), a biography of her ancestor the heretic Anne Hutchinson, and SEIZED (1993, 2000), a narrative portrait of a form of epilepsy that illuminates the mind-body problem.
