Martin Langfield has been a
foreign correspondent and bureau chief for Reuters since 1987, working mostly in the Americas. He has reported from El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru, Cuba, Madrid, Miami, London and New York. He currently heads the company's journalism training programs. Martin majored in French and Spanish languages and literature at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University in England. He has also worked as an English teacher in Paris and studied indigenous literature in Mexico. He has lived in New York since 1999.
