Finding and following authors

Searching

You can easily search for events by time and place. In addition, simple search is available at the top of main pages like this one, which automatically guesses the results of your search before you even click the Search button.

Browse by genre

On our homepage, the Library box shows a list of BookTour subsections. If the genre you're looking for isn't listed there, click the More button to browse a live-updating list of all genres.

Email updates
Sign up to receive a weekly email of all author events coming up in your area.
Individual author updates: On any author's page, click "Follow this author by email" to subscribe to updates on when the author is coming to your area.
You can manage your email preferences on your profile page.

RSS feeds
New authors to the site: Click here for a feed.
New authors in particular genres: Visit the particular section of BookTour you're interested in (see "Browse by genre" above) and click the RSS icon in your browser's address bar.
Events coming up in a particular area: Click here.
A specific author or venue: On any author or venue's page, just click "Follow this author (or venue) by RSS."

Calendar updates

If you use a standards-based calendar program like iCal, Mozilla Calendar, or Zimbra, you can have any author's tour dates show up automatically on your calendar. Just click the "Follow this author in my calendar" link on any author's page.

Widgets

You can easily add a BookTour widget to your website to automatically show events you're interested in. You have three choices:
Popular authors: Click here for instructions on adding a widget that mirrors our front page.
A single author: On any author's page, just click "Follow this author on my website."
A venue: on any venue's page, click "Follow this venue's events on my website"

Amazon account updates

You can use the Amazon link at the bottom of your profile page for updates on when any authors whose books you've bought on Amazon.com are coming to your area.
