ACE Update: More teens have Christmas wishes by Cheryl Kaye Tardif

If you read my previous

post on "connections", you'll know that I have taken on a new project. My goal is to do whatever I can to help the Alliance for Children's Enrichment (ACE) find sponsors who are willing to give some teens a real Christmas this year--complete with gifts. Since many of these teens asked for books (and one asked for Whale Song), I am especially drawn to this cause.

Original wish list...these are the kids who are still waiting for sponsors.

Carol: age 14 wishes for Over the Hedge dvd; Shania cologne in pink bottle; zebra dangling earrings, necklace set
Hannah: age 17 wishes for License to Wed dvd; Large black book bag with school supplies; Hailey Abbott books: Mermaid Park, Saving Zoe, The Perfect Boy and Waking up to Boys
Opal: age 14 wishes for makeup kit for African-American skin tone. (She is dark); Fergie cds: Big Girls don't Cry and Glamorous; and M women's or L juniors pajama pants & tank top (green is her favorite color)
Brad: age 12 wishes for Soccer ball & goal; soccer pads; and Transformers DVD
Greg: age 15 wishes for a watch; cologne; and a basketball
